Jeep...Cooler than a Corvette?
The answer is yes, at least according to a 12 year old. I drove my son to school this morning and gave him the choice of what he wanted to be seen pulling up in. He chose the Jeep without hesitation. I think its' cool factor is way up right now because I have the roof and doors off.

I just spent a week out in Moab running the Kokopelli trail, with a group of Toyota enthusiasts. Now I'm scouring craigslist for a Land Cruiser. So YES in the right circumstances, Jeeps are way cooler.

I pick up my fiance's 6 year old from school a few times a week in my Vette. My car basically has a fan club of 7-9 year old boys. They always grill me for info about the car when they see me. It's simultaneously cute and annoying. haha

I find kids to be the best barometer of "cool".
They are not bound by economics, politics, bad experiences or marketing influences.
They like what they like from an emotional, gut sense.
I'm going to start watching Teletubbies to find out what this 55 year old needs to regain.

Mark, Moab is a cool place and will instantly addict you to off roading.
Try this in a Vette, not so cool!

Safety Car
Personally I think I would rather be in the Jeep with the doors and top on, rather than off. And dark tinted windows. That way no one would see I was in a Jeep.

That Jeep > that c5
Jeep looks rough tough and masculine. Anniversary C5 screams geezer at the golf course. They might as well have painted the whole car beige.
Kids always know what’s up.

Driving my fiancé's 16 y/o daughter to school, thought she'd love to be seen at her high school being dropped off in front of her friends in a shiny red corvette.... On the way she decides to tell me she wants to get dropped off in the back of the school by the gym. She likes the car, sure... but does NOT want to draw attention to herself like that. (Mom asked her why)
She just got her license... needless to say she wont ever want to borrow it. And i'm certainly not going to offer it for prom....
Kids....

That looks awesome, and is exactly why I'm looking for something to build out. Can't do this in a vette either! This was one of the guys on our trip last week, had a blast.

Wish I was closer to Moab, but I do live close to SMORR and Disney.
OP, would be happy driving either your Vette or Jeep. But that Jeep is waaaay to clean, needs a few scrapes and mud / dirt on it.

Not a thing wrong with a Jeep, but it will never be cooler than a Vette to me.
