Default You MUST do this to your Vette

After a week of rain, I was finally able to get the car started again. My car is not garaged but is covered, but this rule goes for any C5. After turning on the car, I hit the wipers to clear the windshield and the wipers had a mind of their own. Wouldn't park, wouldn't stop, you name it.

A brief search and I learned all about the 'udders'! I pulled mine out and they were completely jammed up. There are three udders down under the brake booster and one in the passenger wheel well. CLEAN YOUR UDDERS!

I was unable to dry out my wiper motor, so I ended up replacing. A 50 dollar mistake that could have been prevented if I had milked my Vette.

Happy Sunday

I cleaned mine a few days ago. I pulled the left front wheel and took off the access cover and there they all were! Easy to get to and see.

They were clean but now I have peace of mind knowing.

Took me about 30 minutes.

The sound they make when you first clean them is pretty awful.

I checked my 99's udders this winter as I thought for sure some (or all) were plugged. Nope, all four were clean.

I had to remove battery to get to the one, the other 3 you can just reach without removing anything.

reach from where? the top of the car with hood up? up from the bottom with car raised?

I cant seem to see them from up top I guess I could be missing them since I really don't know what I am looking for.

Reach under the cowl, next to the power brake booster. The three are located right below the drivers side wiper, for reference. The third one is hard to reach. Just pull them out and clean them. They are easy to reinstall.

Good reminder to do this every now and then as a preventative measure.

All four can be reached from the top. Three can be reached without removing anything and the forth needs the battery removed.

Is there any point to the things? I think I just removed mine, but I can't remember for sure.
