Default Friday is National Drive Your Corvette to Work Day

Hello my fellow C5 people. This is just a reminder that Friday, June 29, 2018 is this year's annual National Drive Your Corvette to Work Day.

On June 30th 1953, the first Corvette rolled off the assembly line in Flint, Michigan. But you probably knew that already.

Work is a four letter word I haven't used since my 49th birthday.

Well, I didn't know that, and don't live in the US (national now = international?), but I drive my Z to work every day except winter. I'm in.

Well then, I use my FRC as a daily driver... but I’ll give it a little more push on Friday to celebrate lol.

As of 1 May, I’m retired too. But I’ll be certain to go for a spin.

No work to drive to (nice to be retired), but if the weather cooperates, I'll get my car out on Friday and go for a cruise.

I'm retired and only had the Vette out a couple times this year. Both to the Dealership for service and coolant change. And another to change the Harmonic Balancer, belts, tensioners and pully's. But since the 29th is my birthday seems like a good day for a cruise.

Well dang, I will be at my son's state baseball tourney in Kansas City and will have to take my Yukon for seating purposes.

I drove my black C-5 in a torrential rain yesterday.
Not only did the convertible top not leak, but I looked over the car this morning and it seems to be intact.
Drive your Vette, make your wife your trophy.
