i don't particularly care for using HIDs in high beams because arc lamps tend to not last as long when repeatedly turned off & on, mainly without full temperature cycles (hot & cool) in between. people use them all the time, though, so whatever floats your boat.

Low and high beam 55 watt HIDs
Maybe I'll adjust the left light down a little but to do that I would take out the adjusters and soak them in penetrating oil overnight and then gently break them loose
since it's been 5 years since I put these in (2013) and they have probably siezed up like my first set.
Since they are not available new from GM I had to buy some headlight sets on ebay to get them.
So be aware of what to do first before stripping and damaging the adjusters.
Low beam
The high beams light up the highway signs a mile down the road
I have the low/high beams light up together on high beam

It’s amazing how hard it is to find a level surface around 20’ from a vertical surface that allows one manuever a car into a right angle to the vertical. THEN it has to be dark enough to aim the headlights. Add to that the need for consistent standards for the actual aiming.
Yes, I’d appreciate advice, since I have a set of Radioflyer Bi-Xenons coming.

I was fixing my low beam since it would cut out after a while.
I swapped ballasts and here are some pics of how easy it is to separate the lower ball joint
on the adjuster then just push it back together with pliers or vice grips.
This works a lot better than trying to undo the screws on the bracket.

Just a large flat screwdriver to pop it apart
and needle nose vice grips or pliers to push it back together.
The plastic female part has 4 slits in it which allows it to give.
Doesn't take much force so not to worry.
