Default HELP! Bump in body panel on underside of the front bumper

Not sure where my last thread/post went. See picture below. What is this bump? Is this from some heat or flooding or some sort of damage? Or is it made like that as a cutout / allows space for hosing? Thanks a bunch!

Driver's side above air dam.

sure

damn pic keeps turning sideways on me when I upload it. Anyway, that's how your bumper was molded.

By the way, your other Thread on this is here - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...nt-bumper.html

You should PM a Moderator and ask them to delete it.

Do they look pretty different to you (your pic vs mine) or is it just me? Also, why is that support bar black vs metal on yours?

I was just taking a pic of the Fangs (protective covers) that I installed from Sac City Corvettes. The pic below is from their site.

See, you are good to go and all is well.

Awesome, what a weird little bump.
How about something like this. Should this bother me? Should i put some protective coating over it so it doesn't get worse? Maybe get the back side of it as well if possible? Thanks!

I'd just clean it and put a couple dabs of touch-up paint on that, followed up by a few dabs of clear and call it good.

Cool, makes sense. Doesn't look like anything major and looks to be just on the surface.

Have to edit my post above. I had looked at my passenger side at first and that bump is not there, it is totally flat, but I do have that bump on the driver's side. There is a metallic object or frame member behind that spot underneath that bump, but it's raining outside now so I can;t really look at it. Maybe we can see what's under there from a parts' explosion diagram.

Yes the bump is only present on the driver's side. Other pic I just linked shows some sort of body panel crack/scuff.
