Default Some work my son and I did (Links within NSFW as per forum rules)

After a really bad experience we had with a local shop and months of trying to figure out a way to fix it, my son and I bit the bullet and decided it was time to take the bull by the horns.
I won't go into what happened here, the only positive part of it is this, which I am bringing here.
If anyone wants to know more, you can watch the YouTube videos on my channel there, dedicatedtothecarswelove is the channel name.
Be warned, there is explicit language if you do go as is noted in the title.

I have never taken a car apart to this extent and have never touched a wrap in my life, but that's exactly what I did my my driveway. It took me 3 weeks of working 8 hours a day on my car around my regular job to dismantle, clean, reassemble and wrap my car
The pics here are the outcome, what I started with was a manual Black 02 coupe with some mild paint issues.
I replaced the drls', the fogs, hid headlights, drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads with 3m hi-temp reflective black caliper wrap. The white is Avery Gloss Pearl white.
All exposed black areas that could be saved were color sanded and hand polished along with all markers and other lights which were then tinted.
New window seals and a few other little odds and ends. Will be ordering new Halo weather strip from Ecklers soon and then moving on to other things, which are still up in the air for the time being.

Other things I have had done, the front tag shaved, a nice set of 19/18 C6 Z06 wheels from our friends at OE Wheels, pioneer/Alpine system with amp and 12" Bassline sub. Built heads- BTR, cammed, Kooks headers and offroad crosspipe with stainless works chambered exhaust and dyno tune.
There is more, but that's all that comes to mind at the moment.
The black strip on the back bumper is being wrapped in Avery Gloss black, which should be arriving tomorrow.

I like the front bumper, the way you blended in the license plate area so it is all smooth. Nice job!

Misterneo,
Nice job. You actually wrapped the brake calipers?.......I did not even know that was even an option. Pretty cool that the high temp wrap can handle the heat. I look forward to more pics.

I sure did!
The material cost about $35 to do all 4 and comes in about a dozen or so colors and without any experience took about 30-45 minutes per wheel to wrap.
I used Metrorestyling.com for my supplies. Matt and Brandon are amazing and provided top notch customer service.
If you order $100+ you get free 2 day shipping, everything goes with with FedEx.

There were three sources that I depended on, and a big shout out to all involved.

Corvette Forum for guidance on disassembly.- (Although some of the bumper bolt locations were not the same as they are on my '02. GM must have moved some from the fender liner and opted for 3 at the front tip of the fenders instead, but no biggie, we found them all!)
Justin Pate and The Wrap Channel on YouTube
and Christian Kungl of CK Wraps on YouTube.

Here are a few examples of how the material behaves. I had enough left over to cut my own version of a screaming chicken for the back hatch and some new Jakes for the center caps.
As much as she's been through, a little "Phoenix from the Ashes" was appropriate.

Calipers, black in the day, white at night and no power or wiring needed.

New Jake, with and without light. The sheet material can be seen at the upper left corner

Before and after

Hand cut from leftovers.

Very nice work with the Phoenix!
Any idea how long the caliper wrap will last?

First track day.

Oh, no track days, then a very long time. That stuff is tough and it gets harder each heat cycle.

No idea, but I will keep you all posted. I will say that the red that I had on before was that dupli-color kit. It looked great for the first couple of months and then went dull and became a real pain to remove. Careful use of a wire wheel and aircraft remover got through it though!
I would not use this stuff on a track car, it's show/street only. I wouldn't want to risk combustion with track temps.

Learning how to wrap is pretty fun. Once I got the hang of it I started..wrapping a lot of things. A good heat gun is key, a hair dryer doesn't cut it.

Right on all counts. I can't wait to do it again. Harbor freight has been my best friend through all of this, haha!
I also found out the hard way why installers prefer the knives they use over an Exacto. Ouch!
