Default Help - I need a local battery ofr my C5Z...where?

I need a replacement battery. Where can I get a good one that is direct replacement?

Doesn't the Z06 have a special battery? TIA!

You can get a battery anywhere you choose, nothing special about the Z06 battery. I am on the third battery in my Z06 and picked up a energizer AGM at Sam's club. Before that I had an optima red top. As long as you get an AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) vs. a standard lead acid battery you will be fine. Our cars came from the factory with a lead acid and in some cases they leaked which drips on the PCM below the batt.

What year is it? Late C5s were top post.

If it's a side post the AC Delco 75PS is the ticket and if top post use AC Delco 85PS.

Just about any auto parts store should have a battery that will be OK for your car. I agree in getting an AGM battery rather than lead acid as you definitely don't want to take the chance on a leak.

I've got a cheap Autozone battery. It's light weight and starts the car.
No need to spend money.
