The chamber is 12" L x 12" W x 18" H so they can handle a pretty good sized part. of course the use of rafts and supports etc. can take away from usable space.

I thought this was rather cool, so I ordered one. Got confirmation this morning that it has shipped so I should get it soon. Never guess what color I ordered?

I got the one piece dual cupholder for like 20 bucks that fits between the floor and part of the console/dash on the passenger side. It hasn't let me down yet, and I don't have to reach behind me for my beverage. Very cool handy work though, kind of dig the idea of using the pine for the box portion.

A piece of black felt on the holder might help.

Got mine yesterday and tried it out when I got home from work. It is a very nice piece - being an automotive engineer I love the simple and elegant design as well as the ease of use factor. I was I bit over optimistic to think it would work with the Yeti - but to be fair the Yeti does not fit in the current Travel Buddy (nor does it fit in the wife's car, it only fits in the truck's console which is fine for most days since the Corvette is not my daily driver). Will try it out on tomorrow's road trip. Hopefully I can remove the Travel Buddy - that will restore some knee/leg room for the wife and make her happier - not likely, but you can always hope

Mine didn't fit my yeti either. Still a cool product and will come in very handy.

I always have to applaud when a guy can repurpose unused stuff in a cool way. For me, I made a move on my piggybank, and went with a double travel buddy. I justified the price by pretending it was for a cup holder for a boat and that I was getting off cheap.

I prefer a design where I reach forward for needed items, but, unlike the other poster, never felt the double travel buddy was intrusive.

I did have a price objection, felt it was too high, but I can justify anything.

In this case, the amount of C5 owners in the world is getting smaller, and less and less of those people are going too feel they need a cup holder. At some point in the future , C5 cup holders will be unprofitable, and it will be do it yourself,or luck out with a happy coincidence. So I pay the guy a profit, hopefully he says in business supporting the C5, and, if my car stays on the road long enough, i will have a period correct cup holder from back in the day I told you I could justify stuff, in this case the price of a double travel buddy. I say that had a difficulty rating of at least an eight.
