What are you trying to do?
Smaller/Larger wheels? Wider/short wheels? and/or Offset you want to use?

I ordered a pair of hub centric spacers for the rear, for my c5. I needed to space my c6 wheels out. I ordered 1 1/4"
should be here tomorrow

Spacers usually require longer studs, at a 1/4" your probably fine. Don't see why you would want to grind?

I think he is referring to spacers that use the oem studs to hold the spacer on and the spacers have their own studs that hold the wheel on... if the spacers aren't deep enough then the oem studs will stick out hence why they would need to be ground flush with the spacer

Ah that would be a adaptor style, if he is trying to get just a 1/4" a spacer would be the way to go.

he might have meant 1 and 1/4", in that case he would need the adapter style... if he only needs 1/4" then I agree to just get a normal spacer, the lip on the hub is large enough to accomodate that size spacer and still have enough to center the wheel

For sure anything that wide adaptor is the only way to go.

oh no, I don't want to grind! lol I only wanted my rear wheels, somewhere around 3/4 of an inch out, But that would of required grinding the studs down with that thin of a spacer, and I like knowing I can take them off and not need to do anything, if I wanted. So I ordered the 1 1/4 inch. The c6 wheels on the c5 look killer, but they do sit tight in there! I'll have an aggressive look with the spacers, especially since im running a 305/35 19r Nitto 5r

Yes, that's what I meant. I picked 1 1/4 so it will fit flush with the studs. 70.3mm hub centric spacer.
