Default anyone running 2" headers and 3" exhaust?

Anyone running this set up in a C5Z? What brand headers and mufflers? I'm thinking my 1.75" headers and 2.5" pipes are choking my LS7

Not speaking from experience, but I'd say 1 7/8" (or even 2") headers into 3" would be best. The LS7 had 3" in the C6Z...
The 2 1/2" is more suitable for 346CI

Thanks guys. I guess what I'm asking is that I have an LS7 in my C5. Will a 2" header and 3" straight through exhaust fit and if so, who makes it for the C5.

Both Kooks and ARH make 2" headers, might be others. Honestly, I would call and tell tell them what you have and what you will be doing before just buying, I still think they'd recommend 1 7/8", might be wrong.
I think Stainless Works and Kooks make 3" mids, many 3" mids taper to 2 1/2" at the rear joint. I'd call Kooks and/or ARH to start.

All the research I’ve done says it doesn’t matter which 2 inch header you go with you are going to have to modify the headers and the car to make them fit. On my ls7 swap I decided I would rather go with a 1 7/8 header and take the HP hit for ease of install.

unless you're boosted, i don't think you'd lose a whole lot sticking with 1 7/8"

This is the info I'm looking for. With the 1 7/8" are you dumping in to 3" all the way back and in to 3" mufflers or are you necking down to 2.5". I'm currently running my old 1 3/4" into 2.5" pipes and mufflers (hi flo cats). I imagine its choking the motor a bit but may be why I have pretty high torque numbers on my set up.

Thank you

most manufacturers can set up the mids per your needs. my ARHs are 1 7/8 into dual 3" that end with 2.5" flanges to bolt to stock-size axle-back (but i welded in cutouts behind the diff). if you want 3" mufflers, they can just use 3" flanges on your mid pipes

Any good muff shop can build you a nice system. A friend of mine in Novato, Ca. built mine. I run 1 7/8 headers with full 3" dual exhaust. I purchased the X pipe and used Random Flow full flow cats, he put it all together.

Exactly what I am running now. Planning ahead for big cubes and boost. Kooks 1 7/8" headers, modified Kooks 3" x-pipe, LG Big 3" exhaust.

you can still make good power through 1 7/8 headers with a supercharger... I always wondered if my car would pick up anything if I modded my corsa xtremes to 3", I would do it but I don't know if the gains would be worth the cost
