Louvered License Plate Frame
Do anyone of you guys have one. Just noticed last night you can barely see the plate numbers when the lights are on due to the frame blocking the plate lights. My have to mod it is stopped by Leo. Any comments or photos of your would be good.

If the protrusion of the top part of the louvered piece is obscuring the license plate lamps you may look into getting a small LED light bar that you can mount slightly forward of the license plate lamps to shine back into the plate area. These have become incredibly popular and you can find them easily (and cheap) at places like AutoZone and PepBoys. They do a good job of what they're supposed to do with the added benefit of giving the car a modern look over dim lamps. The only issue you will probably have to contend with is I don't see how you can mount it to not be somewhat visible from the rear of the car but with how low C5s sit it may not be something readily apparent or bothersome to you. I'd go window shopping at an aformentioned store that carries them and get some measurements.
My personal opinion; I think those louvered C5 specific rear plate covers are absolutely terrible. I don't know why anyone would want something that covers portions of their reverse lamps and do not go with the flow of the C5 whatsoever. But I guess there's worse stuff that one could stick on their C5...

I guess to each their own. Easy fix, drill hole in top louvre so light shines through. Do not see that these block light when in reverse. Thanks for input fellas. Also have them on my taillights. Have gotten several good remarks of how it looks.

If you like them, that’s all that matters. Sounds like you solved the light problem.

As stared, to each their own. Do not see where it distracts from the flow of the car. JMO. Someone care to explain !!!
jdm, please tell me what mods you have made that has been needed or worthwhile. New to the vette world and want to learn. Love to see pics of your vette, inside and out.
The only mod that I feel that is really needed is changing out the headlights and that is for safety reasons. All the rest is Bling including motor upgrades. Who Needs to go more than 170 mph as some say they have. And yes I like seeing tricked out vettes
