The original shop “did not have time” ? I don’t think we know everything here. Costs look inline for the type work, it adds up fast if you don’t do it yourself, I know this all too well

I'm just telling you what's going on, nothing wrong with the workshop that did the installation but they are at full capacity of work, first is 1 1/2 hour away from me, second I have to leave the car and wait like weeks or month, yeah that's how busy they are. Ask anyone here in South Florida how busy and short of mechanics the guys from Horsepower Sales are ?

The car had a leak boost, I just took it to the closest workshop to find out what was going on and re-tuning as I didn't like the way the car was running. So what do you expect ? $500-$700 for the tune and whatever extra.

Let's forget about the bill for a second and lets believed we are the tuner, once you find out the car is running lean and you are not able to tune the car properly what will you do ? Will you stop all work and tell the customer or continue ramping the bill up with uncessesary work ? The workshop gave me all the negative feelings and I should have pull the car out of there the first time.

I told them do whatever it takes to fix the car the way you telling me, that means putting a new z06 fuel pumb, and adding the auxiliary fuel system but instead he decided to replace the injectors and the boost a pump. The only chargers that are not justify there are the tuning and the methanol injection in addition to the boost a pump.

No problem, I paid the bill and left to another workshop, they were extremely happy in doing the fuel pump and fixing everything else, end of story. Now they wonder why I don't go back to retune with him ?

You would never get your car back....WOW. They are just down the street from me (Davie).
P.S. "I told them to do whatever it takes". That's the key problem here.....a little like giving a dealership "Carte Blanche" and has your credit card.

$30k+? More than any C5 is worth. If I was looking at a bill anywhere near what my C5 is worth, it would be in the C5's For Sale forum with "needs work, make offer".

Are those itemized lines on the invoice in English? That was difficult to read.

600+ Hp doesn’t come from throwing a few grand at a car, especially if you don’t do the work. It has zero to do with what a car is worth. I understand it is not important enough for some to spend the cash but how much return do you get from a vacation to Europe? Everybody who builds a car knows the money is not coming back to them, it’s not about that.
