Default I just put ZO6 shocks on my convertible and love them!

Hello,
Just a tip, heads up, FYI:
I have 70k on my convertible. My shocks were due for replacement. I found factory GM new in the box ZO6 shocks (all four) for $299.85 including shipping, from Jim Butler Chevrolet in Fenton, MO (www.jimbutlerchevrolet.com) ph 800 764 6432 and had them installed locally here in Florida. Wow what a nice difference! It tightened up the handling, they are valved perfectly for performance driving without getting too harsh and racy. I am very happy and thought I would just share this info, since it was such a ripping deal. I found it by searching Google and no, I don't work in Missouri, I live in Florida so this is not a paid endorsement! Anyway the guy in Parts was super helpful and they shipped them the same day I ordered them. Give it a try if you are ready to replace your shocks.

Good deal - the Z06 shocks are an excellent choice for the C5. BTW, I am assuming you are talking about C6 Z06 shocks.

Did the same this year on mine too (assuming you mean C6 Z06). I found a better deal than that..... slightly used set (4) with about 30k miles on them..... FREE!!!

I also upgraded the from and rear sway bars and end links too. Night and day difference with sways, links and shocks!

Enjoy the new driving experience!

What kind of end links did you choose? I'm doing sway bars and end links next.

Yes for real. I pulled them at 44K miles. FWIW, I bought the car at 43K miles and had a set I pulled off my old car that I installed. There is nothing wrong with the ones I pulled. Rode great.

On my invoice it says Part#540-202 and 540-203. In the Description box it says 10313647 Shock and 25819268 Shock, Bin#E11 and E13. Hope that helps. This is specific to the Jim Butler Chevy place I originally referenced. You'll like them I sure do

Killer deal right there! Are they GM in the box? If so that's the lowest in the country.

Guys - this thread really interests me as I am due for shocks (100k) on 2004 vert. I have been reading up on this and found this post (see pic) where Cultrag recommends 2013 Z06 shocks over earlier Z06 ones. How big is the difference between the shocks referenced in the post? I see Bill was a fan, and that's pretty much got me convinced to go with those PNs. Does anyone have experience with both sets of PNs?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Ed, I’ve been on this fence for too long a time and refuse the pull the trigger. So long that I don’t even know why anymore!! I’ve also seen the same reference to the later shocks, and the boys at Cultrag have been great participants/suppliers to the Corvette forums. I have just over 60k miles and have also been told that stock C5 shocks are basically good shocks and don’t wear out that quickly.
My most important requirement is that the ride does not deteriorate, I already have C6Z06 swaybars.
