NO! Aside from the early that I would love to own, my 04 CE Z06 Coupe was the most visually stimulating vette I owned. Pictured here on the day on the day I traded for a 2012 GS CE.

I don’t drive it as much since I retired in May, but when I do, she still turns heads. HANDS DOWN, THE BEST CAR I’VE EVER OWNED!

You don't drive it as much since you've retired? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

C5's are great, I still have my factory order 3rd day of production '98. But don't drive one back to back with a modern performance car with all the amenities - if you do, you know you have an old car. And don't forget C5's arrived in 1997, literally a generation ago. Probably some owners here that were not born then.....

Her C7 replacement is in the garage so she's been relegated to the show circuit. And still draws more looks than our new roadster.

I've only had mine a few years but I still do double-takes walking past it in the garage. Other than a C2 it's still my favorite generation vette. Looking forward to the C8 unveiling.

Default 2003 Quicksilver C5

**************************************** ************************

My 2003 Supercharged C5, is also 15 years old, but never seems that way, to me. Many things on this car, are much younger. I still love this car, get excited about driving it, and get lots of compliments from people who think I'm kidding, when I tell them it's age...

I get way more compliments now, then when it was brand new. In fact it is a rare day when I do take it out and do not get a thumbs up or some sort of compliment..

It definitely is aging but gracefully in my opinion especially if it's an FRC and those pop-up headlights give it that cool/retro 90s look.

There's a lot of newer stuff on the road that catches my eye more but they also cost 2-4 times the C5.

Age wise, yes. But as with all generations, they're a beautiful car. Take care of them and they'll last for years to come.

Nope! Not looks-wise at least. And definitely not to the average person that knows nothing about cars. Literally this week just had a conversation with a guy who lives in my girlfriends condo building, asked me "what year is this!? 2018!?" tell him nope its an old 2003, he says "wow! the paint still looks brand new!" Inside I laugh / cringe, ive been dying for a paint job, I think it looks terrible .
Honestly dont see many cars that compete with the C5 styling-wise either, its so smooth and sleek, honestly hate how angular and boxy everything looks right now, I REALLY dislike the looks of the C7 ,the only cars that have the body lines to compete imo would be in super car territory, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc... Owned multiple AMG / M cars and although yes the interior is by far superior to my Vette, the exterior styling just cant be beat.

It was VERY forward thinking for 1997 when it came out, but 20 years later I feel that the interior is the only thing that hurts it when looking at the whole package.

Absolutely LOVE what you've done with the back of the rockers. Amazing how drastic of an change just that can make on the whole attitude of the car!

Thank you. My first attempt at Body work.. it took me 40 hours to fit, glass, and final shape them. Lots of sanding. They have been on the car for 18 years... One of the first thing I did. I did Corsa exhaust first then the MCM hood, then the brake ducts..

I get a ton of compliments about them even from Corvette People. I was the first one here on this forum to do them. Many followed with this style after me.

Age is just a number, just like horsepower, so as one goes up...just add to the other....

So add one of these, the great equalizer..... I was on the freeway today and a C7 came up behind me, I moved over and let him in front, he goosed the throttle to let me know he was going to take off (they sound awesome) he went WOT so I followed and to his surprise, I was catching him, with the top down. I would say he was quite surprised. We both backed off back to cruising speed. He knew he had nothing for the old dog
