Competitive Mode in 97
I have a 1997 C5. Does the 97 have competitive driving mode. I hold down the traction control button and it will turn off. I can turn back on. However, when I hold down for extended time I just stays off and does not give me competitive mode. No codes are traction control issues at all. Any help is appreciated.

The Competitive Driving mode is only for cars that have Active Handling on them. That was not available until mid-1998 I believe so that feature is not available on your '97.

Traction control on 97 is just that, it is something that you want off if you are dragstrip racing, because it will disable the pcm from cutting power if it detects wheel spin.
