Just purchased my first vette! 2002 c5 Z06
I'm just introducing myself since I'll probably on here for some time. Just bought an EB 2002 Z06 with 41k on it. One owner. It's completely stock and is my first two door sports car. A little background on my car ownership history. I've previously owned a wrx, srt-4, cobalt ss turbo, 300c srt-8, and currently drive a 2016 gti as my daily. This is the first car that makes me giggle uncontrollably. The car feels much faster than I expected it to and breaks the tires loose in the first 3 gears. It's also pretty loud and I didn't expect the crackles and burbles from the stock exhaust. I've been on here a lot and did a stupid amount of research before buying the car and I'm very happy I did. On a side note. The original owner never changed to the blue valve springs so I did that this past weekend. Never done anything like that but it was relatively painless. Hopefully the mod bug doesn't hit too soon. Sorry the picture sucks. I'll have to take some better ones later.

Glad to have you aboard. I just purchased a modified Torch Red 02 C5Z, last month.

Congrats! That's exactly what I wanted, an EB Z06, but it never happened. They were just too pricey around here with miles under 100k. So I ended up with the next best thing, a C5 FRC with 23k on it. That car will definitely eat your other cars if they weren't modded. I also use to own a 300C srt8 (2007) and it was actually a great car, as well as fun to drive. It was my daily for a couple of years.

Great choice in the color and the car looks very nice. Congrats and welcome.

Yeah I looked a while for this color specifically. I almost gave in and got a red one but this one appeared and I had to get it. An FRC is hard to come by from what I've heard so congrats on your find. I loved my srt8 but I always felt like it was missing low end torque. The top end was nuts though and felt solid as concrete. Thanks for the congrats!

Couple of quick points:
READ your owner's manual
TIRES have little or no traction at very cold temperatures (below 32 degrees F)
Active handling algorithm allows LOTS of tire spin in first (1st) gear.....watch out for it in the wet or slick....esp when turning.
Enjoy:-)
