Congrats on a beautiful car. I was attempting to sell my 2000 and jump into a C7, but I finally came to my senses and decided to add more fun stuff to my beautiful C5. Great luck with the new ride!

Burning Brakes
Well, after owning my 2003 for a little over 9 years and 2 months, I have made a switch to a newer Corvette, a 2014 Torch Red, 2LT, A6, 2600 mile C7. I got one heck of a deal on the C7 and while I didn't get as much as I would have liked for my C5, overall I am very happy with the deal. I take my car to St. Louis tomorrow for the install of Xpel on the car - nothing like some quality paint protection.
I have to say that my 2003 C5 was a magnificant car that gave me absolutely zero problems during my ownership. Every time I got behind the wheel it put a smile on my face and modding the car was a lot of fun, which paid off with a lot of trophies at various car shows and continual compliments from many people who saw the car. I truly hope it goes to a good home that will take as good of care of the car as I did.
The C7 is a totally different animal - I love the looks, the power is intoxicating, and the added features on the car (color HUD, heated/cooled seats, navigation, XM radio, upgraded quality of interior pieces, etc.) brings the car up to date compared to a 16 year old car. The previous owner, according to the dealer, was an 83 year old gentleman who decided he wanted something with more room. So what does he buy - a Dodge Hellcat. Sounds like a very cool guy and I do appreciate the fact he took such good care of the car.
So, without further delay, here was the old and then the new.
2003 coupe, Milestone Edition Package
New to me 2014 coupe
And yes, I know I need to change my personalized plate.
I'll still be hanging around the C5 sections as my moderator duties include that area, so you're not getting rid of me that easy.
I want to thank all the members that helped me with my car and sometimes off the wall questions I had with my C5 and I still hope to be able to assist others with their cars even though I do not have a C5 anymore.

Jack, First off, congrats on the new ride! She's a beauty!
Second, I'd like your honest opinion on Xpel once it's done. I had just been to the shop here in n.y. to check it and I'm about to pull the trigger but know of no one in my area who's had it done. I'd like an honest opinion once you settle in with the new ride. Also, what package did you chose? You can either pm me or post it on the C5 board if it's not to much trouble. Going to get it done as soon as the snow melts and salt is washed away.
Again, GOOD LUCK! Enjoy.
