Default Shift **** ideas for factory shifter

I have searched many times for a shift **** that can fit, even with some work, on the stock 9/16-18 thread shift shaft.
Most of the **** posts are older, so hopefully there might be something new out there?
What I don't want (already have it, and tired of it dating my interior further) is the standard round shift ****.

I don't hate it, just don't want it anymore.
I would consider the C6 ****, except that sideways tilt on the pattern just kills it for me.
I really like what Patches did by modding a Camaro ****, but I can't find them anywhere short of in excess of $120 US (so you figured out I don't want to spend $120 for a ****!).

Leather, nice.
Some Delrin units, not bad.
Ideas?

Have you tried a salvage yard to see if they can locate a Camaro shift **** and at a price much less than $120?

Smallish town (150K) living = no salvage yards. Next town up does, but in reality Vancouver is about it and 4 hours away (each way, in good weather).

What is your budget? My previous C5Z had a cheap Delrin "C5R" **** that was comfy. My current car has a heavy weighted stainless **** with a Delrin outer cover that cost a lot.

I love this shifter ****. It will fit the threads you mentioned and even lights up when the headlights come on. Several colors to chose from. Also comes with the leather boot.

I intended to mention that one, I really do like it, a lot. But it's, well, a $ LOT. Still considering though. Brings the car into the modern hemisphere. Damn sharp.

That is nice. Simple, a bit more modern, looks well sized. What size is it? How much and who?

I am guessing it is 2.5" across the top, and 2" at the bottom. Pricey at $145, but the quality and feel is worth it to me. It is weighted and is about a full pound. Makes shifts effortless. Delrin sleeve is great and never gets hot or cold. The sleeves are interchangeable, too. It was $145.

I know this doesn't fit the "not round" qualifier, but I just ordered this one for mine in red with back inlay. It hasn't come in yet, but the one I got for the Viper was very well done and high quality.

Tons of colors options to choose from. They also have tons of other ***** options for color and inlays.

Bought this one for the Viper in dark blue with white inlay

I've done the same searches. No luck. I have a cut down, threaded to the insulator, OEM lever, with a black round ball **** on it, held in place with Teflon tape - hold the lever (under the gaiter) with vise grips, and really screw the **** on hard, as far as you can, remembering to line up the 6 speed pattern. Took a little experimenting with how much tape to use to get it exactly in position, but it has not moved since I did it.

I really would like a Camaro style ****, but I don't want the extra height and just have not found anything yet. Still looking.

Same, the Camaro **** is nice.
And I did pretty much exactly the same; sawn down with Twistedshifterz ****, loctite though.

I went with a C4 **** on a MGW shifter with modified shaft. I used the isolated C5 shaft. Cut it off, threaded the bottom end, shorten the top. The C4 **** looks like it 'belongs' but is not as clumsy as the OE C5 ****. And it's 'medium throw'. Perfect for me. And you can find them for $50 ish.
