Default T-Top front lock rubs against A Pillar vinyl

Any tips for trying to adjust either the t-top or a-pillar trim? Is this a common issue? The front lock on each side is pinching into the a-pillar trim, causing a dent, don't want it to tear it.

Thanks.

That's a crazy one. I would think the trim pieces aren't installed into the retainer holes correctly. Have they been off recently for anything? I haven't tried adjusting the handles on my top so I'm not sure if they are even adjustable or not. I'll have to wait and see if anyone else has adjusted them also I guess to find out. Sorry I'm not much help but my guess would be the trim being off a little.

Yes the a-pillar trim was replaced, they may not be tight enough against the a-pillar. Looks like there is velcro also on the pillar that is not grabbing well.

See below photo does anyone know if somehow the trim should cover that body piece inbetween the rubber and trim? Can't see to wrap it around that.

If I recall correctly, there should be some metal clips that get pushed into holes in the A pillar. If they aren't lined up correctly it won't sit flush like it's suppose to. I don't recall any velcro either. When I get home from work I'll have a look at mine and give you some pictures hopefully. Gotta get a cortisone shot right now. Be home in about an hour.

Thanks appreciate, if you can compare to my photo, wondering if I somehow need to wrap the trim around that fiberglass lip that is inbetween the weatherstripping and trim in my photo.

Good luck with the shot!

Thanks, I just got home and didn't get the shot. He wants my ligament to heal properly so I can't lift anything over 5 lbs for a month....yeah right, good luck with that one, right!!! This picture is from a video I made about removing the dash pad. Not great so sorry. There are 2 holes that the metal clips push into. Make sure they are lined up with them and then they push pretty hard into the holes. My guess is they probably aren't in the holes all the way. Hit them with your hand if you need to so they seat properly. I didn't see any signs of velcro anywhere when I had mine out. If you need any other pictures I'll try and get some this evening. Time for me to hit the bed as I work nights. Good luck.

Here's what the gap on mine looks like for reference for you.

Hey I just noticed something, your interior looks an awful lot like a C3. This is the C5 section. I gave you instructions and pictures of a C5.

Not a problem. Glad we caught it before we started getting really confused...
