The 04 Z06 is Getting a Friend in a Few Days

It's been 12 long years since I bought my 2004 Torch Red Z06. Only a few more days before I pick this baby up from the Museum. My first brand new car purchase ever.

The FRC design is still my favorite Corvette design ever. The C5 Z06 is what got me into cars back in high school. However, I couldn't turn down 755hp that's dressed in my favorite color, orange.

Oh man - dream come true!

I'm super jealous - ever since I visited the Corvette museum and did the plant tour I wanted to be able to buy a Corvette with the museum delivery.

Jeez - it's been a while since I've been there.. this was when the C5 was being produced and the XLR wasn't quite out - some assembled outside and parts were here and there throughout the plant but they were kind of hush-hush about it - must have been summer of '03.
