Default Anderson composites hood came today

Anderson composites carbon fiber hood came today. The vette is still in hibernation but I figured the safest place for an opened hood was installed.

I just tossed 4 hinge bolts in. Didnt adjust anything just guessed and it fit almost perfectly. It's in hibernation now. I'll wrap it up in march when I pull it out.

Does fit good. Might need minimal adjustment.

Looks fantastic! With that said, you're not going to like it, so send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you.

Can you post more pictures to see the fit near the headlight doors and fenders and of the finish of the hood both of the top side and the under side.

Looks awesome.

Oh ya it needs a couple quick tweaks. I guessed on where to set the bolts on the hinge.
It was tough on my own. And the lower bolts are behind the hinge so you have to half lower the hinges get to them. Held the hood with my head while I put them in haha

I can but it's literally just test fit right now. I dont even have the latches installed. I just tossed the bolts in and guessed and it was close. Lol

It really appears to fit very well even though you only test fit the hood. Are there any high or low spots between the hood and fenders? How is the finish of the CF? Can it be left unpainted or mostly unpainted? How much lighter is it than the stock hood? The carbon fiber look great against the blue.

Nice looking hood! For Maggie clearance or just aesthetics? Do you plan on keeping any of the carbon exposed/unfinished?

it looks almost dead on other than it's gaps are tight to the passenger side and loose to the drivers (hood to fender gap). that's a quick adjustment on the bolts that put it in and it'll be dead nuts on. I believe they're UV stable. I read they were but i'm having trouble finding that info now. I may give AC a call to confirm again.

aesthetics and cooling. I did the C7 splitter that puts the intake kind of forward for the rad (rather than under), and the dewitt rad/fan setup. i figured the vent right behind the rad gives that air now being forced in a place to go.

Nice hood, does it actually vent or is it for looks? I can't tell from the pictures, considering getting this hood in the future.
