You will need to install a hyperflash harness. Its a pretty easy install to do. I switched to the halo led tail lights, led reverse lights, and switchback led's for the turn signals. Over 3 years since installed and no issues.

LEDs last longer, and they also respond quicker to the touch of the brake in comparison to traditional lights. So when in a quick stopping event, it gives the driver behind you a split second quicker time to react!

That we do not know. Any mods would be at risk to the cusotmer. We have not heard of this or had this question asked about this product.

I was unable to locate the connector for the hyperflash harness that is supposed to be near the ignition switch. Mine is a 2004.
