Late winter updates
We're getting close to spring and I just finished up a few updates/upgrades. I refinished my roof that was severely crazed, in which I posted in another thread. I was having some trouble with the wiring on my outside temp sensor. As you all know the access in that area is tight at best, so I decided to remove the front nose.
this was surprisingly an easy task. It's held on by 25 or so 7mm screws and some push pins. This gave me access to replace the pigtail on the temp sensor and install a new sensor. Works perfect now. While I had the nose off I replaced the burned out fog lamps (I went yellow)
and also the side marker lens. I ended up going with LEDs (switchbacks) . Took the radio bezel off and put the redesigned flasher in. No hyper flashes.
Finally, in my quest for 400hp, I thought I'd put a Vararam on while I had the nose off. Ironically, in my novice attempt, I ended up installing the CAI with the nose on. Not a big deal. Yes, I know the engine bay needs a serious detail.
While I had the shroud out to do the CAI, I noticed the foam strips on the AC condensor were no longer attached. I resealed those. I'm not sure that would cause a cooling problem, but it certainly did not help. I'm happy with all the upgrades. A few obvservations. Having done the Hazzard switch in the dash when I first bought the car, there is no reason to ever repeat that job. Get the remote relay and be done with it. Secondly, removing the nose was pretty easy. It takes one person to remove and a friends help to reinstall. Takes 20 minutes and makes working on the front lights, horns, wiring etc a breeze. Don't be scared to do it.
Eliza has come a long way since I picked her up in North Jersey about a year and a half ago. Still lots of things planned for her. Com'on Spring!

Which switchbacks did you use? No hyperflash?

Nice little project. When you have a few spare minutes, I'd take those ground connections shown in the photo on the frame rail off and clean them up really well. They are super rusty! You're asking for electrical issues letting them continue to rust as is, in my opinion.

I installed the hyperflash harness. I used these bulbs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Theyve only been in a week so I can't speak to the long term use, but they look great great now.

Nicely done - smart to do all the things when you had the front fascia off the car.
