Another vote for the ctek 3300. Works great! I keep my 04 Z06 hooked up all the time.

Battery Tender.
I've been using one for over ten years now.

Not sure what brand, but purchased a smart charger at Walmart easily 15 years ago. Have used it hundreds of times on numerous cars / bikes / trucks. Think I paid less than $25 for it. Hooked-up to one of my motorcycles right now. Works great.

I used a Deltran Battery Tender Plus for over 9 years with zero problems - hard to complain about that.

The Optima 400 looks nice, but what makes you think it's the best? other than being over $100. and digital = so it must be?

Like others have said, and you agree, most of them do the same thing.

Same. They're fairly cheap and they work great.

I think I own upwards of 10 of them. Never had one fail. knock on wood.

10 Deltran Battery Tender Plus? You must have quite the car collection. I had four of them, one burned up so now I have three of them and one Optima 1200. The Optima is a nice device as it's a charger and maintainer in one. Fricken $200 though.

My wife and I have 6 cars 2 of which are daily drivers and obviously don't get plugged in. Have one for my motorcycle which is now gone. Two for our Fifth Wheel. Two for boat batteries.

my old Sears are the most reliable, the expensive "hi tech" I purchased at Carlisle died after 1 year, replaced with a $7 Harbor Freight - works just as good. With all the toys I heave 8 running..

I've got a couple of 3A and 4A smart digital chargers via China for $5-8 including shipping and have been using them for over a year and they work great, There's no need to waste serious money on these things unless you have way to much and have to get rid of it. I use them on my C5, constantly hooked up since I have another current drain I have to track down again, on a golf cart, and on a motorcycle., all without any problems at all.
Harbor Freight also has a $6 trickle charger/maintainer I have used for 4 years on a Suburban constantly connected and it also works fine and has not quit yet.
You pay your money and take your choice, all advice is free.

Looks like a nice charger.. any charger tender that has a Desulfation cycle is a total package, those that dont have it or not worth spending the money.. since sulfation is the number one killer of a battery removing these crystals is crtical to the batteries longevity. I use a CTEK which was one of the original " smart charger " designs.

I think we lost alittle bit of the comic relief in this thread.. Laughter can be healing, having a sense of humor should not be considered a forum or thread killer.
