Air Bridge hits hood
Hi folks, I have an older Halltech Intake and air bridge. I noticed that the airbridge contacts the hood liner right away but that was before I added a graphic to it and then painted it. It also puts pressure on the hood.
Now the rubbing has caused damage to the graphic and the paint is rubbing off the airbridge.
I could use some advice. Would a stock airbridge solve the problem? I initially tried to modify the Hall bridge but I was concerned about over heating the plastic so I backed off. Foolishly I sold the original.
Thanks or the help!

I had a painted hoodliner on my '03 (done by Airbrush, Inc.) and used the stock air bridge on the car with a Blackwing intake. Did not have any problems with the air bridge hitting the hoodliner. You just need to make sure the air bridge is seated fully on the grommets on the upper radiator support.

I just realized something else. The front ‘tube’ of the stock airbridge is oval, and my filter has a round opening. Another fly in the ointment! I’d appreciate some more ideas. Anyone know of other ‘low profile’ air bridges?
One alternative is to bring the current airbridge back to black and modify the graphic where that section is black as well?
OR am I making a big mistake in my observation, and the accordion connector makes the transition from oval to round? I could use some help here, folks.

I probably have the same set up (2006 Halltech Stinger) and yes, the airbridge does make contact (just) with the hood liner. That's because it has a significantly larger cross section than the stock unit, which gives it the ability to support higher airflow, hence a bit more hp. Mine came with a smooth connector - not a concertina.

I previously had interference issues with both Vararam and Callaway Honker intakes.
I installed Vararam Power Duct on both cars, no interference. the interference on the Callaway was bad enough it was grinding on the hood (no bueno). You may be able to retrofit a power duct on your car. Good luck!!

Friend of mine found a very low mileage stock bridge and duct. I’m going that route. My artwork is more important to me than a few cfm’s That will make little difference in my driving.
Thanks all!
