Original tires? Since you don't drive it very much, get some good, cheap tires. If you only drive it in the summer get summer tires. Firestone Indy 500s, Hankook, Bridgestones etc..

With non-runflats, your car will have less road noise, handle a bit better and be a lot cheaper to purchase. I switched from runflats to Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs and never looked back.
Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT run flats. Original equipment, good ride, decent miles out of first set, not too loud...........VERY EXPENSIVE........$1800 Ouch !

I went with Hankook also. Get a price from Tire Rack and have a local dealer meet or beat the price so their installer doesn't rip you off with excessive charges.
Running Michelin Pilot Sport AS's. Excellent all year round tires - they've even got me home in snow a couple of times when I would have been parked on summer only tires. And a ton of grip in the dry.

Personally, I would never say the OEM tires have a good ride.
Do you have a Vette Mechanic? If yes, ask him what tire would he recommend for your type of driving. Every Vette owner has different needs for driving their cars. I drive less than 2000 miles a year. No snow or rain driving so my mechanic recommended a tire to replace the run flats. I do not try to outguess the experts. Just MHO.

I use these too. Excellent street tire. Great wear characteristics (for, you know, a corvette.) Good feel. They make sound at the limit, first a whisper, then a squeal. Then grip well, they work fine cold, they work fine hot.
I am really not happy with them on the track or autox, but that's really not what they're intended for anyways.
I went with non run-flats and keep a small compressor and plug kit in the car in case my towing coverage doesn't cut it.
I am running Nitto NT555 G2 tires now and couldn't be happier. The price is a relative bargain and the ride and handling are great. They are summer tires, though.
