75,000 mile used coupe at a dealer
A dealer near me has a really nice 04 coupe with 75k miles on the clock. It's a 2-owner car with full service records, interior is smooth with no cracks or tears. Dealer says it was owned by older guys who babied it, which looks true from what I can see. I'm interested in it cuz it's a manual and it would be my first vette.
I test drove it yesterday and it sounded great. What do you guys think about buying it? Anything to watch out for? I was quoted 12,500 by the manager and they said they're willing to negotiate more.

For sake of comparison, bought my 99 A4 Targa with 42k for $15000 about a year ago. In CT so probably higher priced here.

Fwiw i am the originalowner of my 2008 c6 z51 manual and i have put 131k miles on it since new. The cars awesome. Id suggest miles mean very little to gm products.
id recommend buying the 2004 c5 with 75k miles without a fear.
12.5 is a good price but if you can get them down further why the hell not try.

It sounds like a good deal if everything they are saying is true. The price sounds slightly low for a dealer unless C5's aren't in demand in your area.
You could always have a 3rd party check it out mechanically before you pull the trigger.

I would definitely get that car up on a lift to completely check the underside for leaks and suspension parts for wear and the shocks if it has the magnetic ride control.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Have the car inspected and go from there.

Something seems wrong with price on the 04. Do as others have suggested, get it inspected by someone that knows C5 Corvetts. Make sure the VIN number is not between 45110258 to 45125500. If it is, then it may have a major gas tank issues costing around $3000 to repair. It may have already been fixed by GM (their records would show) or by the previous owners. Need to verify. Good luck on your purchase.

Like the others said, sounds like a good deal.

Remember the old saying, "Cash Talks". I'd walk in with $10,500 in one pocket, and an additional $1000 as a back up in the other. I'd be willing to bet after seeing a cash offer of $10.5 they won't let you walk out the door.

Best grab it before someone else does! 13,500 for my 03 Coupe with 109,426 miles 2 years ago and would do it again. Was what I wanted and only 40 miles from me. 25K miles later and still love it.
