[Z06] Made a few changes/upgrades

Melting Slicks
I don't know what the Braum cost to install -- and I don't need to be nosy -- but I do know that just refurbishing my stock sport seats, with Ebay leather skins, new CA foam, and a professional install ran well over a $K buck, only to end up with the same stock seats that didn't last all that well in the first place. Looks to me as though you made a much wiser decision...

I ordered the Braum Elite seats AND the seat brackets through carid.com and paid just under $1K for everything. I really enjoy them - they are comfortable, the seating position is perfect for me, etc........will have to see how they hold up over time but I have seen/read a few reviews and they were very positive.

Burning Brakes
Gorgeous car and nicely done! Completely digging the seats!
There are a few of us that used the metra bezel who found you can put a USB outlet in that cigarette lighter hole with a little dremel work. This one has been great for me - just had to open the hole up a little bit. So my android auto works through it and my phone hangs on a magnet mount on the vent, and I couldn't be happier.

STLZ - Your Z looks clean and not overdone - NICE ... I'm looking to purchase a Z soon and have started to do some 'budget' research. Can you give me an idea of what the headlight conversion cost? Also, you did some engine mods. What was the 'ball park' cost on those changes? Thanks - John

I love the wheels but I have thought about changing them actually - when I was searching for cars I really wanted to get a set of the CCW SP550 wheels instead of the 505a but these came with the car so I couldn't pass it up - it allowed me some room in the budget for other stuff lol - eventually I will switch - maybe when I do widebody rear quarter panels.

You will love the MGW shifter.
If you install a clutch, get a Katech remote bleeder. Also, consider a Tick master cylinder, a SAC City Corvette rear transmission mount and new O2 sensors. Replace pilot bearing and slave cylinder with OEM. If you need to shim the slave cylinder Tick has the shims. While your in there, check the torque tube bearings and couplers. When I changed my clutch, I found the lower ball joint boots destroyed. Replace them with Moog.
For a clutch, check out the RPS BC-2.

I did yes. I didn't want to cut out a section of the plastic and change out the seat belts so I just swapped the driver/passenger seats. They are a super tight fit and I had to modify the bracket slightly on the passenger side but they are in a good position for me so it worked well.

Looks great! I am looking at the Braum fixed back seats for my newly acquired Y2K Coupe. How is the comfort and getting in and out?
Also on the headlight swap, was it intensive? Did you do the HID etc?

Mine are the reclining seats, but getting in and out is surprisingly easy and comfortable. I have seen the fixed back seats - I think they have a few different fixed options if I recall - so I think it depends on which style you get but all the research I did I have seen good reviews and people that like the comfort/feel, etc. of the Braum line.

There is no adjustable lumbar or anything on these. The seats in general are pretty comfortable (and I am a big guy lol), however I will say after 2/3/4 hours in the car your **** does tend to get a little sore (long backroad drives) otherwise the comfort is good even after almost a year of driving with them.

I'm going with the Braum seats, unless I can find a steal on some C7's.
