Nose Fix
The previous owner ran over a piece of truck tire in the road and did some damage to the nose of the vette. I'm wondering how hard this would be to fix? I would assume others have run into this same issue, how did you get it fixed and what can I expect to spend getting it repaired?

If it was me, I would replace the bumper in my C5. But I have repaired other flexible bumpers with cracks. I used fiberglass backing with the compound on the backside of the crack making sure the surface was rough and dirt free. Then I filled with a mixture of fiberglass fibers and compound in the front crack area. Sanded and repainted the area. Came out perfect. Not noticeable when I sold the vehicle.

Ok thanks. I'm going to look around and see who can fix it. I'm not sure I want to replace it as it seems to be in very good shape. I also think it may be cheaper to fix it as to replace it.

Our definitions of very good shape must differ greatly. That bumper cover needs repair and paint. Look for a used one. It may be cheaper all around.

Before you decide to just repair that one, at least check into what a used replacement would cost. You are going to have to get that one repaired and then repainted so it may not cost any more to just get a good one and paint it.

You could repair it with a fiberglass wrap and bondo, but I would not bet it would be there for the long run. Still would need painting
As others have stated, best to look for a used assembly and get it painted if you plan to keep it.

I plan to keep it so I'll start looking for a used one. I also viewed a couple of plastic welding videos that look strait forward. That may be an option as well.
