ZO 6 hatch strut

i did a search last week and found lots of info on alternatives on replacing the struts, Some installed a small spring, threaded on to the existing strut, but can t find it anymore., If anyone has info on this, i would appreciate it

Just replaced trunk struts on my convertible this morning. Cost 12 bucks and took 2 minutes. What is the spring for?

Amazon Prime......$12.99.......2 day free shipping. They were the same brand as the old ones. I don't know if Z06 are the same as Vert.
