Does anyone have one of these Quickjack 5,000 pound car lifts and used it on a C5? Home Depot running a sale right now for $1099. Not as cheap as Costco sale a while back but still good price. If it works.
and that seals it... I shall be grabbing one of these.
Anyone bought the 7000 pound version? I have a couple 1 ton trucks I work on and was wondering if the extra 200 bucks would be worth it. They are a little taller which may make the vette a little more of a pain to get under the frame But I'm betting teh 5000 won't fit without race ramps.
I have the 5000# version. With my jacking pucks, the short rubber Quickjack blocks, and my 'I think it's stock ride height' Z06, the Quickjack just barely can slide under without having to put the car up on blocks (or ramps) first, which is nice.
But even this 5000# version is heavy and annoying to move around (no good place to grab it as you're setting it down). Anytime I manage to get these things under my car without smashing a finger it's a minor miracle. The dude on the box carrying one around with one hand should enter that 'Worlds Strongest Man' competition or something.
The 7000# has got to be just that much more heavy/annoying, so keep that in mind.
Besides the 5000# Quickjack I also have a 7000# four post lift. I found the 7000# lift for $1550 (new, but I had to pick it up from the factory), which isn't 'that' much more than the Quickjack. If I could only have one, its no contest: the 4-post lift is WAY nicer to have. Being able to lift a car up over your head is just so convenient. Add a bottle jack and a piece of wood and you can get the front or rear wheels off the lift to do brakes/suspension work at chest level (they come with a 'jacking tray' that spans between the two sides).
If I knew at the time that a 4-post would be that close in price to the Quickjack, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the Quickjack, although overall I do like the product.
I have the 5000....love it, lift it, use the hell out of it! Best addition I've ever made to my garage! Well, I take that back....my 03 C5 is the best addition I've ever made to my garage!

I bought mine @ Costco last year, shoulda done it years ago.
Mine is lowered quite a bit and the jack still just barely fits underneath.
I just reach under and slide the 2 pieces together when not in use - pull them into place when needed. Hydraulic hoses stay coiled under the car, pump is in front of the car.
I have the 3500 because the 5000 was on back order and i love it. if the 5000 is available i would do that just for the peace of mind that it's a little overbuilt.
Just got the 7000 and used it yesterday for only a little bit and I'm already a believer. Garage height was too low for a real lift so this will suffice. I did have to put my front tires on 2x6s cause its slammed on coil overs. Only reason I went with the 7000 is to raise my truck as well
I bought the QuickJack 5000 last spring. Never a problem with it. Have used it on my wife's Buick and my Cadillac SRX. It even makes detailing the lower panels on the Corvette easier. I would definitely buy again!
Just pulled the trigger and ordered a 5,000 pound Quick Jack from Home Depot. Here's the deal: on sale for $1,099, but if you sign up for a Home Depot credit card, you get a one-time discount of $100 for any item over $1,000, plus shipping to home is free for this. So I got it for $999 plus sales tax (bummer on the sales tax). I'll just pay it off when the bill comes and close the account.... Or I may keep the credit account if I see there are other discounts from time to time. I'm pretty happy with the deal and I'm sure I'll be happy to not have to use floor jacks and jacks stands for everything. I have multiple vehicles this jack will lift.

Ordered on Monday, received on Saturday. Got my new Quick Jack assembled last night and it's awesome! Best addition to my shop in a long time! A trip to HF for a new creeper and I'm good to go. Now on with the projects! Excuse the messy shop, normally clean but several emergency repairs lately on non-Vette projects. Trial run with 4,000 pound test vehicle.
I just checked Home Depot on this and price came up as $1199.00. Maybe a regional thing?
Decided to check Costco and they have it for $999.00 thru 5/31! $60.00 in sales tax but free shipping so $1059 to my door. I haven’t ordered yet just went thru the checkout process to see what the total would be.

Yep, I see that. Home Depot went up, Costco back on sale again. I netted mine for $999 plus tax at HD while it was on sale, so good deal for me. One thing I might add here in case anyone gets one: In assembly, I had one side that would not manually lift for me to attach the hydraulic hose. It turns out there was some residual air in the air cylinder that would not allow me to manually lift the jack to get to the hose attachment. I drained the air, finished assembly, then added the correct amount of air to both sides per instructions. Be careful if you use an air compressor filling these. It takes only a tiny amount of air to get it to 40-50 psi per instructions, so use an air attachment that you can control easily (or maybe a bicycle tire pump?). There is nothing in the instructions about how to pressurize the air cylinders, only about how much psi to add to them.
Just a heads up, if anyone buys one at a HD and there's a Menards in your area, and also running a 11% sale, HD does match the 11%. Yes, it's in a gift card, but there's always something else you can buy at HD. I've done this a few times, and you normally get the gift card in just a few weeks.
