If it has to be towed, how??
My new to me C5 has a couple marks on the front bumper that the previous owner disclosed, had them touched up, not bad & of course bought the car anyway but has left me with the question that IF towing is the only option what is the best/only way for this car?? A rollback, tow truck or what? From the back or front? Just want to be mentally prepared should I have to deal with this. Thanks, Dave

a few places have these new-fangled lifters that essentially wrap around the rear tires & lift up just enough to tow. they're particularly for removing cars from parallel spots & were designed with low sports cars in mind... but it's unlikely you'll find them outside of major population areas.
other than that, use a roll-back truck - backwards load would be easier to keep from scraping & provide easier access to attach the winch cable.

Only time I had to get mine towed it was on a flat deck. Tow driver used a couple of 2 x 6 boards under front tires to get clearance so it would not scrape.

I had to have my '02 towed a couple years ago. I called AAA and when I told them it was a C5, they immediately said they would send a roll back flat deck rig. Because the car was lowered, I had concerns about scraping. But when the righ showed up, there were all sorts of ramps to change the angle. Hardest part was the driver had problems getting under the car so he could find suitable places to hook up the winch cable. Everything worked and nothing was damaged during loading and unloading.

Thanks for all the replies; kinda figured this would be the only safe way. I do have Triple A just in case although I hope not to ever have to call!! Dave

I feel like originally those were purpose built for Repo Men lol.
People get creative about parking their cars when they quit paying for them.
To the OP getting a company with a Roll Back is best and honestly most towing companies use them almost exclusively now anyways.
If I have troubles with my car I will move it via a U haul trailer.

if you ever have to call make sure to request a flat bed before they send a driver out, any experienced tow company should know this but better to be safe than sorry
