2020 C5 of the Year Winner- Unmodified
In the end, I like my C5 as much as my CBR1000rr, just for different reasons. You have to be cautious with both on the street, and I think actual racing belongs on the track for both. But it's still fun to feel the power of both when the opportunity arises.

I think your car would be a good race with the modern 600s and maybe a 750, not the older 600s that bolton cars can hang with... with a little more than what you're making I had no problems putting 750s in the rearview mirror

Melting Slicks
In my 30 plus years as a law enforcement officer I saw an inordinate number of fatal and very serious accidents involving sport bikes/crotch rockets. A lot of inexperienced riders attracted by the power, incredible speed and affordability of these bikes without the experience and skill level needed on such a machine. We called them donorcycles for obvious reasons. I'm thankful you let the street race go, simply not worth the potential trouble, injury or loss of life. Take care!

My slightly modified Kawasaki zx10r would do 215. It sounds impressive but that bike & most crotch rockets have more power than the owners have skill (myself included ). Love motorcycles but they have severe limitations.

Actually, I set the bike up exactly like people who had gone 215 but did not do so myself. Not sure where I'd do this here in the mountains of VA. Did a fair amount of track time at Summit Point &;Va
International Raceway, however.

Wow. I thought this debate was over but apparently not. Unsure why most assume the rider was on a small cc bike. However, a stock C5 against a large cc sport bike … say a Suzuki Hayabusa … sorry, bye bye Corvette

When my C5Z was supercharged (581whp/512wtq) I definitely ran with a number of bikes, beat a few, lost to a few. Really depends on the rider, the surface, the road condition etc. Most guys on bikes expect to win quickly...when they don't I think some of them react with a bit of reservation about how far they want to go to find out.
