Many brave men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. May they rest in God’s eternal peace.

Grew up as a military brat, and was USAF after my graduation. I’ve seen and experienced what we don’t want to become. 🇺🇸

I really don't wish to start a grand debate on this thread honoring my brothers.

However, it is my observation that this country's general population seemed to be a lot more patriotic when our youth faced the possibility of being drafted. I was watching the news this morning and they were showing the way to properly fold a US flag. I learned to do this when I was a teenager working at a (minor league) baseball park at the scoreboard. One of my jobs was lowering the flag, and properly folding it, following the game. I was told that my job was an honor, and I believe that even today.
I later served 4 years in the Army, and my respect for those that gave "their all" has never diminished.
