Default 2019 C5 of the Year -- Performance Modifications

For Corvetteforum’s 2019 C5 Corvette of the Year competition we have some big changes in store to make the competition more inclusive and, we hope, more fun for site users.

The changes include opening the contest to site users across the globe, rather than limiting it to residents of the contiguous United States. Further, we’ll break the competition down into four categories:
  • Stock Corvettes
  • Corvettes with Appearance Modifications
  • Corvettes with Performance Modifications
  • Corvettes prepared primarily for track use

The reward in each of the categories is bragging rights and a designation under your user ID declaring your winning status.

This thread is for entries of Corvettes with Performance Modifications.

You can enter just one of the categories of competition and you do so by posting one photo of your C5 in the appropriate thread no later than 11:59 p.m. PDT, June 14. Moderators then will pick ten of their favorites as finalists and set up a poll to allow you to vote on which of those finalists is the C5 Corvette of the Year in each of the above-referenced categories. The judging, of course, is subjective and will be heavily influenced by the quality of the photographs submitted for the entries.

In subsequent months, we’ll feature other generations for Corvette of the Year with the winner in each of those generations competing for Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year.

The fine print: One entry per member. This contest is open to site users over the age of 18 who own the car they enter. Cars which have previously won are not eligible. Entry photos must have been shot by the Corvette's owner except in the track car category where the Corvette has been photographed on the track while the owner was driving it.

Not a lot to see here externally but it's what's under the hood:

Performance Modification:

TSP Forged LS3 377 CID Shortblock (stock crank, Eagle Rods, custom Diamond pistons)
Tony Mamo 235 NFI Heads w/10mm rocker upgrade (9.7:1 SCR, 68CC chamber, hollow valves, AFR 8019 Springs)
LSA Head Gaskets
Yella Terra 10mm Rockers
Manton 11/32 .120 custom length pushrods
Johnson 2116LSR limited travel tie bar lifters
Mamo spec camshaft
Mamo ported LS2 Throttle Body and Intake Manifold
Mamo Spec ATI Balancer
ARP Balancer Bolt
ARP Camshaft Bolts
ARP Header Bolts
ARP Head Studs
Mamo Ported Melling Oil Pump
Original PFadt Motor Mounts
Llingenfelter LNC-001 2-Step Launch Control (I believe this was the first one sold publicly and I helped LPE write the instructions on this)
160° Thermostat

97-98 LS1 Return Fuel Rail
Bosch 95lb Injectors w/Michigan Motorsports upper hats
Lonnies Double Pumper in-tank whalbro setup
Alky Control Methanol Injection system

APS Twin Turbo System with modified inlets, filters, and LG 70 lb/min turbo upgrade
Turbosmart Dual Port BOV's
Turbosmart eBoost2 controller
Turbowerx EXA Scavenge Pump
Custom drain sumps on turbo's
Custom -10 drain plumbing to turbo's, -6 from turbo to welded fitting in timing cover for return
LG Big 3 rear exhaust

Ram Twin Disc Clutch
2008 ZO6 TR6060 transmission
2008 ZO6 Rear Differential and Cradle
Hurst Shifter

Bilstein Sport Shocks

C6 ZO6 brake calipers (powder coated translucent copper by Mike the Powder Coater)
Racing Brake 2 piece front and rear C6Z rotors
Fastbird (e.g. my own) Line Lock
CCW SP500 Wheels, 18x9.5 and 19x11, big brake offset, Bright Brushed Anodized finish
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 front tires 275/35-18
Nitto NT05R Drag Radial Rear Tires, 305/35-19

And a few non-performance items:

Autometer Nexus Gauges in triple pod (Fuel Pressure, Boost/Vac, Wide Band)
Corvette Enhancements Blackouts
4EyesC5 low rise projector kit (currently uninstalled)
PAC Ipod Controller (CD Changer removed)
F45 Delete due to turbo kit, controllers removed

Probably forgetting a few things.

Motor is back together, car is nearly back together after the top end refresh. On the previous setup, car made 825-850+ depending on boost with the same shortblock, and a LPE GT2-3 cam and Patriot Stage 2 317 heads. Car went 202 at the Texas Mile in 2012.
