2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C5 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
I think the threads would get more views if they weren't in the stickies, not very many people look there that often (myself included)

Yeah, it is pretty sad. But hey, we can still see rookie members ask questions that should be in the C5 TECH forum or other members reviving ten year old threads, almost every day.

Maybe if more members would've gotten off their butts and entered their cars, you might have had more to choose from. The finalists were ALL the cars that were entered, before the deadline.

I've been a moderator on a Monte Carlo SS Forum for 15 years and been a member on a Harley forum for about 4 years and see this all the time. The reviving old threads drives me crazy. As a Rookie here I voted in all of the C5 categories.

There were hardly any entries this year as opposed to previous years, and I personally feel it's because of the rather odd breakdown of categories. In previous years, it was simply a photography contest. Put forth your best shot of your car and let the competition begin. Now, with categories such as stock and unmodified, performance modifications, prepped mainly for track, appearance modifications, they significantly narrowed where people can post their entry, and were rather unclear on specifics (such as peformance modifications....do you post a picture of your car, or your engine bay?) Staff took a simply and clear process and convoluted it to the point that far fewer people even bothered with it.
Go back to the original concept. Let your picture do the talking. Submit the best shot you've got, your favorite, whatever. Just because one car is modified, one car isn't, one has a track prepped, another has a bunch of appearance stuff, etc; No car is put above the other because each is still a Corvette, and will have it's following no matter what.

In my 18 years here since retiring from GM I have taken several scientific polls to see the actual participation in the C5 section. Right now, there are less than 100 active members on this C5 forum ( Active = posting at least once a week ). there are those transients and some once a month or couple times a year. participants..
The Corvette forum may say there are 1 million people participating on this website, but 99 % of them are not interested in a C5 popularity poll, My point here is no matter what the parameters are, there will not be a lot of participation . The poll still has value for those of us who still participate here actively.

Thanks for participating. I never expected 10,000 people to vote. Heck, at the present rate, none of the categories are on pace to see 100 votes, total.
