Melting Slicks
My local Costco had them in-store too... went there with my wife, and stopped to look. She didn't seem opposed... but I'm not sure that's how I want to spend $1k when there are so many car parts I could buy with that money.

I like you guys and gals on the forum but you just cost me $1,000 LOL
i read the Quick Lift reviews and it seemed like the biggest complaint was freight damage. So I went to Costco and picked one up. It’s 108* outside today so it will be a few days before I assemble it. I hope it goes together without any problems.
I’m anxious to try it.

Easy as hell to put it together..all you are doing is screwing the hose ends on and filling it with tranny fluid..then bleeding out the air. Took me about an hour and a half total with testing it.

Safety Car
I resisted for several years because I plan on adding a 4 post to my garage, but need to raise the ceiling a foot or so first. A couple months ago, I went ahead and pulled the trigger. With 2 C5s, it gets double use. Oil changes are a breeze. I had to order smaller blocks to use with my lowered on stock bolts Z, but it worked out great. Just get one, doubt you would be sorry.

I've used it many times so far in the past month. Antivenom mod, changed the rotors and pads. Will use for oil changes on both cars and tire changes on the truck and wifes car. So much easier.

Drifting
Considering it cost me $1700 labor to do the clutch, this seems like a bargin.

It has been a great investment - I don't know how I have worked on the vette (or my other cars) without one. Very sturdy, easy to assemble and stows nicely out of the way. You will be very happy with it!

They seem to be tough on the boxes when shipping, but mine had no damage either. Was going to get one at Carlisle last year but hesitated to pull the trigger, and regretted it. Once you have it, it comes in handy. Tire rotations, wheel cleaning, oil changes.....you wont regret it!

Burning Brakes
I assembled the Quick Lift, bled it per the instructions and tried it. It goes up without a problem but the left lift keeps hanging up on the down cycle. The lock rod swivel cam will not climb over the lock bar. The cam is rounded like it should be but the lock bar is at a steeper angle than the lift that is working correctly. I put the lifts side by side and discovered that the ram mounting plate is 4” long on the lift that works correctly. The problem lift has a ram mounting plate that is 4 1/2” long. That changes the geometry enough to cause the swivel cam from climbing over the lock bar.
I have been trying to get a resolution from Quick Lift for a week now. They asked me to send them videos, which I did. The videos clearly show the problem. A couple of days ago I received an email that they want to send me a new swivel cam because they think the one I have does not have a rounded end. I emailed them a picture showing that it does have a rounded end. I have called back for two days now and every time I’m told the rep that has my service ticket is not available.
So far I am not too happy with Quick Lift. I might have to take it back to Costco.

To all those staying it's a grand, how much do I really NEED it... you dont. But let me tell you, it will make your life SO much easier you'll regret not having one years ago on the "whatever" car you hotrodded before. I'm 6'1" just north of 300, I'm able to roll around under me vette with ease and not worry about catching a knee on low hanging bolts or what have you. I plan on using it when I do an LS swap on an 03 blazer I'm currently using as a work ride.
Buy it, you wont regret jt.
