My comments might not carry much weight since, out of the six Corvettes I've owned, all have been either C3's and C5's. So I've always been kind of fixated on only those 2 gens and have never had much interest in a newer C6 and C7.
However, this new C8 design really appeals to me despite the busy rear end and the interior design. So even though I don't like all of the design features, I find the mid engine Corvette to be a car I'd like to eventually own assuming I don't run out of time. The big problem is it'll be at least a year or two before I'll be able to get one with all the demand.
So considering my age and health it may not happen. (Plus, I still have a C2 on my bucket list although that'll likely will have to be crossed off my list in order to ever buy a C8.) But that just shows how much I like the new mid engine design.
I like the new c8.... Once they redesign the rear end I would be interested in buying one. Going to wait a year of two so they can work out the bugs. Would order with a spoiler delete and add an aftermarket one that you know would be better.. Keeping my c5 and would like to add a c8

Everyone needs a dream and a goal. I hope you get yours! Best wishes!
It will be fun to read this thread a year from now. I think a lot of opinions will change as people get used to the new car. I'm not crazy about the rear end styling, but the C8 looks wicked from all of the other angles. Still warming up to the interior and that square steering wheel.
I was just reading they have been spotted in FL on the streets. I went by the house today to see if the car was still there and it was not. The car looked just like what is being sold by Chevy....

I was almost tempted to knock on the door...
No way, unless you are talking about the camo version, they would have been spotted and photographed......everybody has a camera phone nowadays. You probably saw a Lamborghini or Ferrari .......lots of those in Florida.
Chevy dealer here, has paid a lot of money for Chevrolet to bring 2 to Colorado Springs for show and tell on 9/13 might even be giving test drives. I’ll be there for that.

You are probably right but it was not a Lambo or Ferrari... It looked just like it, I should have stopped and saw what it was...

I am obviously blind, the car was a new style Acura NSX... Went by today and it was there...
