$15000 for two corvettes a good deal?
I recently purchased a 2002 c5 corvette in outstanding condition for interior and exterior with borla exaust and nice tint but it did have 150k miles for $8000. I am strongly considering buying a 1993 with 84k miles on it and excellent preserved interior and exterior, a hard and targa top, freshly replaced headlight motors, and brand new tires for $7000. I do not really "need" a second corvette but I figured i could make the 93 a DD due to low mileage and drive the c5 on weekends. I currently have a prestine 2000 bmw 740il i drive to work and back that I would sell if I got the c4. Do I have corvette fever or are two extremely well preserved corvettes of two generarions a steal for 15k or less??

I think you will like one more than the other, and never drive the other one.
C5 exclusively makes sense to me, as the C5 is a better car, including daily, in every way.

I was just on Ebay and the bottom is falling out of the economy IMO. If you have 10 grand cash you can get a great C5 and I mean late 2000's versions with lower miles.
This is not a good sign at all, 6 months ago I bought mine for 10 and at that time it was a great deal but the prices have even dropped lower. So I would get another C5, I do not care for the C 4 much.

I prefer the cockpit feel of the c4 and i also like thr glass targa top. The overall drive of the c4 is fun to me as well. The c5 is hands down my favorite tho. The sound of the borla exhaust, the pickup, the handling, the seats. It is without question my favorite. Im just saying if I sell my bmw for $3000 and buy this prestine c4 for 7000 then i spent $4000 on a low mileage garage kept c4 and got a c5 for 25-35% less than sticker price (dependong on if tou use nada, black book, kelly blue book etc) and its just hard for me to pass up. My girlfriend bought a 2915 nissan altima for around 15k so it seems good to me. The only reason id DD the c5 is because it has more miles and lasts longer as dd. Id rather lreserve that one but it isnt smart

If the car checks out, go for it. Nothing wrong with having multiple Corvettes in the stable.

We shall see. If he refuses to budge and the total cost exceeds 8k i cant do it. Thats only $800 less than i paid for the c5 which is worth wayy more and is just a much much mu mch nicwr car inside and out and i cant justify that price

You should just get another C5, I can't believe how cheap they are becoming. I think the C5 holds it's own in looks with any of the new Vettes or other modern cars in the looker department when they are equipped right.

I've owned 2 C4's, and currently own a C5Z. In fact, I owned one of those C4's while owning my C5. Let me just put it this way I rarely drove the C4 or wanted to for that matter when I had a C5 sitting next to it.

I can understand that. I am not too worried about that for myself though. I feel they are different enough for me to be fine switching it up

I currently own a 94 C4 and a 98 C5. They are 2 totally different driving experiences. I do not prefer one over the other. I don't understand people who put the C4 down or even try to compare it to the C5 because you can't. Both of my Corvettes are for fun and not a daily driver. When I walk into my garage I have a difficult decision to make trying to decide which one to drive. People ask me all the time which one do I like the best...the answer is simple...BOTH....

Tne C4 is a cool car and I really liked it in the day but the C5 for not to much more money to me looks more modern. I like all Vettes but think for about 20 years from like mid to late 70's through mid 90's the car does not appeal to me as much as the other models they made....
I think Chevy did get a little lazy there in that period but so did all the other domestic car makers.
