Default C5 2003 or 2004

Hello looking to purchase a Corvette again had a C4 1991 lost in a house fire would like to purchase another either 2003 or 2004. Heard that most kinks were fixed by these years. Drove a 2004 few weeks ago great ride much better then the C4. Was on this site years ago very helpful so looking for recommendations and insight on those (2) years reason the C5 is basically my price range also will listen your thoughts on all the Vettes in general also I’m 6’5” C5 definitely a little more comfortable then the C4 Thanks.

Either model year will be a good choice. I had an ‘03 for 9+ years and did not have it in the shop one time for a repair.

My wife and I had a 1996 C4 and we really wasn't impressed with it.
Several years passed and we decided to look for a convertible sports car and when we looked at C5 Corvettes we were shocked at the difference between the C4 and C5.
We ended up buying an 03 C5 convertible from a forum member about a hundred miles from our home. We've had it going on our third year now and we love it.
There are a lot of sticky's about what to look for and if you just research this forum to see the things you need to watch for I don't think you can go wrong with an 03 or 04 Corvette,
There are some older ones that are pretty good too!
Good luck!

I currently have an '04 Z06, but was actually looking for an '03Z at the time because I thought the 50th Anniversary emblems were cool!

I don't think you can go wrong with either model year. Just find the one that you like the best and "pull the trigger"!

Good Luck and keep us posted!!

By 2001, the C5 was sorted out. Still a great car with timeless lines and great bang for the buck performance.

Either year is fine. I've had my '03 for a while, it's rock solid. Get the one you like, run good gas and oil and scheduled maint religiously and you'll be fine.
