so I have a 01' coupe with sport seats, an I've seen ads for synthetic leather seat covers for around $250.00. Anyone use these? Whats everyone doing when you're seats wear out?

Wait for those who have done it to chime in on which ones are a good value, but doing the rehab (usually seat cushions and covers) isnt hard, something most can do themselves, it will be well worth it to you.

I installed synthetic leather (vinyl) covers from Interior Innovations, covers looked nice.
Shortly after installing I caught the edge of the bolster and the vinyl came off the cover.
The thickness of the vinyl is soooo thin it didn't take much to ruin the drivers seat.
I contacted Interior Innovations right away with pictures and they did not respond ever.
Buyer beware.

Damn! Sorry to hear that. After spending money and time to have that happen would really suck

I purchased all leather seats and cushions from Vette Essentials. It was’nt cheap. I don’t think they are in business anymore. They still look great. I have always been of the mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.

I installed the cheap ($250.00) seat skins back in 2012. Still going strong.

Also installed heated seat elements at the same time. They are great but pretty useless now that I'm retired.

I have the leather and alcantara from Ridies which is/was the same as Interior Innovations, they were not expensive and it's been around two years as a weekend driver and I'm really pleased.

Seats see more action especially the drivers seat. I would not suggest going cheap. its like throng money away.
I can make several suggestion.. but a budget would be good to know..
in order to get a good fit you may want to get New seat foam, atlest on the drivers side.
You should go with Leather over vinyle
You could go with a seat of high quality neoprene seat covers, like Wet Okole. they are around 250 dollars any color you want with GM licensed cross flags on the head rest.

https://www.wetokole.com/Chevrolet-C...at-Covers.html

wet Okole. any color combos
Ive had two sets of leathers on my C5
one set from Mid America around 1100 dollars lasted 12 years.

Mid America 12 piece seat covers and accessories 1100 dollars

Ridies.... better quality , and thicker leather than Mid America 400 dollars

I used to have a boat canvas business and reupholstered a few pontoon boats. Some synthetic leather is very high quality. It was also quite expensive ($35-40 a yard 15 years ago). There was also a lot of inexpensive stuff that looked very good but just didn’t hold up well. I wouldn’t exclude synthetic leather which is easier fit and sew but you need to make sure it’s decent quality. I’ve been out of this business for 10 years, things may have changed but I doubt it. I think a lot of good upholstery shops prefer to use high quality synthetics over leather but customers prefer leather.
