Hi Gang !! Need Help finding a supplier that sells O2 sensor simulator or a delete plug. Been running with Check Engine light on for quite a while after putting headers on and now want to install cutouts. Would be nice to get rid of that check engine light without paying for a race computer .
Also thrown into the mix - the shift cable link at the trans, does it snap off with a screwdriver ?? Just pry it off ??
Appreciate any and all help in advance. Since I'm stuck at home, might as well get some protect work done. No Club activity, No Car Shows - might as well just work on the Ol Girl till we can get back out there !!
You can make your own O2 simulator from a 1 meg ohm resistor and 1uf capacitor. Its not really a simulator. It just delays and lowers the signal level to the ECU so its fooled into thinking the Cats are working. All you need to do is install a 1 meg ohm resistor in series with the + signal from the o2 sensor and connect the 1uf capacitor across the input side to the ECU. See attached picture. Our wires are purple + and tan -.
