I have a 2003 C5 50th Anniversary Edition. My interior is two tone The lighter color is called Shale. I thought the name of the darker color of the dash etc was "Light Oak". Either my color name is wrong, or they sent me the wrong color paint. Does anyone know of a good source for the dash color? This is what came out as "Oak" Wrong color. Wrong color. Yeah, I know, It just says "Oak" I ended up repainting it Shale, which matches the seats. Doesn't look bad, but I'd rather stick with the stock colors.
I need this interior color in my life. The black interior I have in my C5 convertible was a dumb idea. TOO HOT!
You can always repaint the plastic bits, and order a new carpet and seat covers. It might be easier for you if you go with a two tone black and light oak. Here's a not so good picture of mine.
Can you paint the speaker grills? Suppose I'd need new seat upholstery as well. Something to think about. My car is mega-rad but ridonculous in the summer heat. My wife burned her legs last weekend getting in.
I am so intrigued by these dye and paint threads now. I really need to order a can and test it out on some spare pieces to see what the finish is like.
I’m looking to swap out my stereo and the holder / double din trim piece is matte black will this paint be a match to dark color on the 50th anniversary around stereo and climate control? How did it work for you?
