Android Phone app for C5 corvette to lock and unlock doors and roll down windows.
I found this app to do all the things your key fob will do plus roll up and down the windows. You have to have a WIFI OBD 2 scanner plugged in but it does not drain the battery as I have left mine sitting 4 days and the battery was still fine. It may not be for everyone but would come in handy to roll the windows down before getting in when it is hot outside and if you lock your keys inside the car.

That.... is kind of cool. Especially for the windows because I'm in Florida. What year is your car? Wondering if this is one of those things that only works for 01+ or if all years would be able to use it.

Certainly seems like a better option than a window valet. It does appear to be for iPhone not Android. Also, is there any kind of security feature that keeps anyone with a phone from being able to get into your car?

By "wifi" OBD2 scanner do you mean bluetooth OBD2 scanner? I bought one for a few bucks on ebay years ago, may try it out with this app.

So it will be here tomorrow. haha
Haven't downloaded the app yet. Maybe I will try it with the BT one, but I have a feeling it won't work.

Nothing wrong with it, but if you can achieve the same result for a fraction of the cost, it's a win in my book, too.

To answer a few questions.
Mine is a 2000 but it is supposed to work with any C5. I think it has to be a WIFI OBD2 because it searches for the wifi network when setting up. I have an android phone so I am not sure about an iphone app. Anyone with access to your obd2 network with this app could control your car But if you set a security password for your scanner then that would take care of that, plus someone would have to have the app and be is distance of your network to control it

Sweet - I have an 02, so I wasn't worried, but it seems like a lot of this kind of thing is limited to the later cars, so I was asking for the good of the group.
My wifi OBD2 dongle will be here tomorrow and then I'm buying the app. Kind of excited for it actually - I like the idea of cracking my windows before I leave work so my AC can actually be effective for the first few minutes of my drive. My used car manager has a Tesla and he can do that from his phone app, too. It makes a difference.

You will already have a good adapter, go ahead and check out the app called Torque if you do not already have it. It will work with bluetooth or wifi but wifi is like night and day for speed and connection compared to bluetooth

Hmmm.... the one I linked (and bought) apparently some people give varying reports on usable range.
Got a link for the one you have with the longer range?
I've used Torque Pro in the past (I still own it) so good to know that wifi is faster.

Well, I downloaded it and used the adapter I bought - so far.... disappointed. It worked - sometimes. And would put the windows DOWN just fine (but not at the same time) but going back up was a quarter of an inch at a time - and with no seemingly logical pattern between my input on the phone and the windows actually moving.
@Jeffwilson34 what adapter did you use? I'd like to try another one before I give up on it.

No, lock/unlock and hatch didn't work.
It only worked with the battery voltage displaying.

That is odd, same phone and the cars are pretty much the same. Must be the adapter. I am sorry you wasted your $ if it does not work I thought it was a neat little program. I have not used it a ton yet but when it starts getting hot I plan on using it to put the windows down because a black car with black seats can get pretty hot inside.
