Steering Wheel Removal
I just got a newly upholstered steering wheel for my C-5 Convert - Like most of us I didn’t want to deal with the air bag so I selected a reputable shop that deals with air bags and wasn’t afraid to take on the project - Low and behold while in the waiting room the tech (lead guy) came to me and announced “can’t get the steering wheel off” - He then showed me his puller with one of the legs snapped off - He ordered a new Snap-On puller and will try again next week - HELP - I’m 78 years old and my blood pressure is rising

Yeah, a few of us have had issues. I had to bail on mine and let a mechanic friend of mine do it. He wound up using a puller that used bolts. He did have to drill the wheel obviously and tap the holes. Took a few tries but he did get it off.

Good luck - hopefully a quality tool like the Snap-On will get the job done.
