I think it looks much better. The front took a bit longer to do because it was harder to get the fishing line around the emblem pins. For that one I even left the 50th insert on the car and never took it off. It's not connected to the emblem, only to the double sided tape. The silver ones didn't match anything on the car, not even the wheels.
That really looks great. I wasn't sure at first about mixing the black with the silver 50th but it works well with the MY.
Question:
How did you get from the 3rd to the 4th pic?
I found removing the remaining double stick material to be pretty tough. I probably tried everything but the right stuff. I think I must be missing a special remover. What did you use?
I just used my fingers to roll the old tape off. The front was tougher and I ended up leaving a lot of the old tape on the nose and put the new emblem over it. I have to get some 3M swirl mark remover because I got some very light marks on the front. But I agree, overall it turned out pretty good and looks better than I had hoped.

Re: Replacing Nose/Deck Emblems On Z06 (TexasRedZ06)
I think it depends on the color. I never gave it much thought, but I did like my silver emblems better on my black car than on other black cars with the black emblems. I'm not sweating it because I can always change it if I want to. I could even take the emblems off for a cleaner look. I've never been one to over advertise what I have anyway.
IMO, there are far much uglier things to deal with on the car if you're going to get that picky. Namely, just about the entire interior (Camaro seats and Tahoe steering wheel..). I forget about it though the first time I blast down the road in the morning or if I'm at the track enjoying the car.
Remember though if you are going to take the emblems off for a cleaner look, the nose emblem has pins. Thus you will have two holes in the nose to fill.
