Corvette at heart....
So yesterday I was driving my C5 in Rancho Cucamonga I see a 'Stang coming up on my tail. He follows me for a minute, quickly changes lanes and comes up on my driver's side. Now mind you this is a newer Dark Blue GT, and I can hear he's got some work under the hood. I thought he was gone smart off or something. WOW! He pulls up next to me ... THUMBS UP! Stayed next for a while to me, yelling how much he loved my car and how sharp it looked. I returned the compliments to his ride. As he turned off the road, he stopped and waited to wave as I drove by... we exchanged Peace signs. All I could think was, I had to share this with you the first opportunity I got. To the 19-20 year old kid driving that car I say "Never judge a book by it's cover" ... never was more appropriate. Anyone have sim. experience, please share. Have a great weekend everyone.

That really was heart-warming. So many times I get the sneer and the nose-up from the stang-clan. But this story gives me hope, cause the truth is....I do like mustangs. They are just as american as our vettes. And who could deny that the 64 1/2 to 70's mustangs are not classics. I pledge to wave at the next stang that glances my way next time. Good story.
Call em Mudstang.....Rustang....Moustang, Whatever. They are still every bit as much an icon as the Vette. One of the all time best Muscle cars is the 1969 429 Mustang. Lets dont forget the shelby GT350 While Vette Wins out on Logievity, quality, and Off the floor HP....The Mustang still has a sacred place in american auto history

Oh! Oh! I have a couple of questions ... exactly how do you find out? And how many sets of tires have you gone thru leaving the scene? You know your're my hero Bill! But I couldn't resist! You had me roflmao! And believe me, I needed a good laugh! Besides, what's wrong with being happy? "Not that there's anything wrong with it" - Jerry Seinfeld and Gearoge Castanza.
Very cool story. I had a guy pull up next to me at a light a few months back in a M3 and ask me a few questions about the car. Even cooler was that he had a car-load of buddies with him, but didn't hesitate to compliment my ride. Gave him a and waved as we parted about a mile down the road.
