I'm working on the part # and cost. I'm not sure what this would be since it's probably a rare piece. I'll post a pic and price sometime next week when I get back from vacation. I wouldn't imagine this would be very expensive.
The $3 part from Target sounds tempting as well.
Mickey - Yeah I'm sure this is a "RICE" mod. I just hope I can now add a TOYOTA sticker to my vette to increase the power and show that Toyota is my sponsor. If I sell 6 of them they'll even give me a TRD sticker to go with it.
I just ripped the one out of my Grand Prix that was traded in on the Vette. I'm sure the new owner didn't miss it. It fits just fine in the console. Most GM vehicles have a small (3 slot) holder in the console. As usual they forgot the Vette though!
I've found a solution to the loose change problem most of us are encountering. I work at Toyota and I found the change holder in the new Tundra's and Sequoia's fits perfectly in the center console. A couple pieces of double sided tape and we're in business.
If there's some interest I'll talk to the parts guy and see how much these babies cost. I'm sure a lot of newer cars have the same thing going on. I just happened to notice this.
The piece has 3 storage units. One for quarters, nickels, and dimes.
If someone else has an alternative let me know. I'm certainly up for a cheaper and easier solution.
I use a Crown Royal bag that is stored in the console.
Seems like there is some interest here. I think this piece should be pretty cheap. I like the film canister idea. I'm always out and need to use quarters so I would like to have some way of storing them.
