ok ... car is great but i was thinking, it could be a little bit more pep-ie like especially around the lower RPMs ... I just need some conformation, would an aftermarket airfilter help this? for instance the "Granatelli Corvette Super Ram Air Intake" or "VaraRam" ...

Staying away from low RPM Situations! Dive the Mother like it was intended!!!
I think it's just the nature of small blocks to need the higher RPM's to really start to pull....but if you want low end, get a big block that get's 6 MPG....
You should look into getting it dyno tuned, as a good tuner can pick up a lot of low end torque. I had my LT1 Firebird dyno tuned and picked up 30ft lbs of torque in the midrange, and it's off idle throttle response was greatly improved.
alot of great answers but to answer your question, yes an aftermarket intake will help with that feeling. I did the Blackwing and noticed a much improved throttle response.
.... I've never asked this question about diesels before, but I know you know a thing or two about them. What's the fastest known 1/4 mile diesel out there???
I'll be sure to have my zooberator checked right away, but as far as those chrome muffler bearings, I dunno, that's just too much power for me.
...It's usually when i'm coming around corners and I am in 2nd gear and sometimes when I get around the corner and really put my foot into it, it kinda just bogs, other times she goes, usually it's a bog though and I was hoping for a cheaper alternative to upping the gears and juice really isn't an option for everyday driving, maybe a s/c would take care of that but I run into that practical thing again ... maybe I'll look into a dyno tune, as that wouldn't really effect my day to day driving.
whenever I get the $$ I'll be installing some LTs, but for now I was thinking of the intake that way I'll have increased the air intake in prep for the extra exhuast ... outtake?
Your just toooo low in the RPMs, the cam is not producing the raw torque your looking for there.
Intake and headers will help pull a little bit more out of the cam on the low end, but you'll end up with a lot more benifit on top with those mods... Basically your in territory that was not engineered to be making any real power.

I have the Granatelli intake and it made a difference.I bought mine used.It is basically the same concept as the VR except it picks up the air from the center of the bumper instead of the fog lamp holes. It is expensive and if i hadn't got a good deal on it I would have went with something else like the VR.
I've read that intakes make a noticeable difference, only having my C5 for a few weeks now i can't verify that. But I do plan an intake soon, definately a first mod!!
