Chrome oil dipstick handle?
Anyone know where I could locate one for my '98?
I tried LAPD, MidAmerica and a few others.
They must make them. I'd prefer an exact GM replacement type, instead of an AutoZone "universal" type.
Is there such an animal?
Thanks.....

Not 100% sure but I heard somewhere that only one company made these and they went out of business (or at least stopped making them?). Maybe someone else knows for sure...

I'd skip the Chrome Dip stick handle.
I had one on my 97. It only take once to learn how hot Chrome gets under the hood.
Maybe paint it body color or what ever accent color your using.
Just my 2 cents worth,
Tim

I agree with above. DS was the only place you could get one. And to boot I just gave away mine from my 98.

I could not find a chrome one that looked right so I ended up painting the end of the factory dip stick flat black.

I got mine from DS, that's the only place I have ever seen them. Come back Aaron, vette owners need you!

Painting it sounds like a good alternative to the chrome. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Since the guy was looking in 2004, I assume he's found one or painted his old one by now.

Ecklers has them for $58 part # 49828. I had one on my 2006 C6 but the chrome did not last very long. Maybe they improved them since then. Just noticed that this part is for 2001-2004. But call them to see if they can get one.
